Phillip Schofield spends most of his weekdays with his telly wife Holly Willoughby on the This Morning sofa but away from the cameras, the ITV presenter is happily married. The 55-year-old celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with wife Stephanie Lowe last year. And the power couple, who have two children together, looked as loved up as ever at The National Television Awards last month. Speaking to the Express in 2017, Phillip said of Stephanie: “I’ve got about four really good mates, but my absolute best friend is Steph – she knows me better than anybody and can read me like a book.”
And the couple have good reason to be happy as they have amassed a huge fortune together over the years.
But how much is it?
Phillip Scofield currently has a net worth of £8 million, according to Spears Magazine.
The silver fox reportedly signed a £2 million deal with ITV in 2016, covering his roles on shows such as Dancing on On Ice and The Cube.
Spears alleges Phillip earns a reported £45,00 per show for Dancing on Ice, while he gets a similar fee for All Star Mr and Mrs.
And while the star is likely to bring in the majority of the wage in the Schofield household, Stephanie has also earned a salary from her TV work.
The pair met when Phillip was still working in children’s TV and Stephanie was a BBC production assistant.
Speaking to Christine Lampard about his wife on Lorraine, Phillip said: “She worked in television years ago, that was how we met, so she can do it [television], she just doesn’t want to these days.”
What is Phillip’s TV work?
Phillip has been in broadcasting since the age of 17 when he started as a bookings clerk for the BBC.
After a stint in New Zealand, he returned to the UK continuing to work in children’s TV starting with The Broom Cupboard.
He went on to present Going Live and Take Two before graduating to the theatre, taking the lead role of Joseph in Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamboat.
He then became a familiar face to a whole new generation, working his way through a series of shows over three decades.
They include Schofield’s TV Gold, the National Lottery Winning Lines and Text Santa.
Last year, Phillip took Stephanie away with him as a companion to film South African Adventure.
Outside of his telly work, he is a wine ambassador for Waitrose.
The star told the Express his biggest expense to date was their plush house in Henley-on-Thames, said to cost £1.9 million.
He said: “One of the greatest gifts I got from doing Joseph – other than the incredible West End experience and making some really lovely friends – was the fact that it paid off my mortgage.
“We’ve been there for around 25 years now and the kids have grown up there.
“Apart from that, I don’t think I’m really extravagant, apart from maybe some wine that I’ve been known to buy at auction that’s perhaps shocked Steph a little.”
