Grammys 2019: All the red carpet fashion looks – pictures of dresses

Written by admin

From flamboyant looks to chic and sophisticated aesthetics, the 61st Annual Grammy Awards saw an array of different couture designs last night. Leading the way when it came to style was no doubt Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys, as they posed on the red carpet in show-stopping numbers. Meanwhile, other famous faces such as Cardi B and Kylie Jenner may not have necessarily appealed to a wider audience – landing them in the worst dressed category. Statement pieces were aplenty, as were glittery ensembles.

Lady Gaga led the way with the latter, stepping out in a metallic silver gown.

Toni Braxton also opted for a sparkling number – wearing a head to toe see-through number, which had been adorned with a glittery purple design.

Ashlee Simpson opted for a pale-toned jumpsuit which had been adorned with glitzy beads, as well as a series of feathers at her waist and sleeves.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez, who performed during the evening, sported a high-necked white dress.

The white gown had been embellished with sparkling beads, and she teamed the look with a white clutch bag and huge white wide-brimmed hat.

Another style trend which was spotted on the red carpet was the sophisticated suit – with Miley Cyrus, Meghan Trainor, and Hennessy Carolina all having sported the look.

Miley, 26, opted for all-black, with her trousers featuring a fashion-forward flared design.

Frances Glandney, who arrived with her husband Smokey Robinson, also donned a suit jacket.

She wore a velvet coral number and matching trousers, with both parts of the co-ord containing silver detailing.

Emily Hampshire, 37, followed suit with the preppy aesthetic.

The outfit featured a straight leg design, and her jacket had a plunging neckline.

And, although Michelle Obama didn’t pose for snaps on the red carpet, she also wore a glitzy suit.

While Kylie Jenner may have missed the mark for some viewers, her sculptural jumpsuit certainly stood out.

Similarly, Heidi Klum’s white mini dress was unmissable, due to some unusual wing-style ruffles on both of her arms.

But, it was Cardi B’s oyster-style dress which was truly one-of-a-kind.

The outfit featured a black fishtail bottom, and splayed outwards in huge ruffles at her waist.

The rapper, 26, sported a nude bodysuit beneath, and accessorised the aesthetic with an array of pearl necklaces.
